This is a specially-crafted experience that packs a lot of opportunities for the photographer. Landscape, culture, street and portraits are just some of the photo opportunities that is specially catered for the budding shutterbug. This program brings you to Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, as well as the little known beauty of the 3 lakes of Shan State.

Explore the 3 lakes of the Shan state by boat and on foot, visiting tribes and villages along the way. During your trip, you will alternate between the east and the west bank of the lake.   To get wonderful views, you would travel to some viewpoints in the mountains which woudl give you beautiful views of the lake, while also passing by some picturesque lake side villages. The landscape is very diverse and ranges from plantations to paddy fields, pristine forest to bamboo forest & corn fields, and  also rocky parts of wild land. The route in Inle Lake area takes you through several traditional Pa O villages, views of the floating gardens and the numerous boats zigzagging over the lake, and some fine forest.

  1. Day 1 (L, D) 19th Dec 2020
    • Welcome and assistance at Yangon Intl Airport. Transfer to the hotel (4 star).
    • Drive to Kalewa Monastery for donation (voluntary) and photos
    • Lunch at local restaurant
    • We will directly proceed for a Yangon colonial heritage walk
    • Photograph Colonial buildings, downtown Yangon street
    • Sunset shoot at Shwedagon Pagoda from a distance
    • Sule Pagoda area for night photograph before a dinner at a local restaurant
    • Return to hotel for overnight
  2. Day 2 (B, L, D) 20th Dec 2020
    • Early morning, we set off for a Photo shooting of Shwedagon Sunrise with 2 Burmese models in longyi with umbrella
    • Street photography of local life at fish market, witness novice monks/nuns collecting alms, and visit colourful vegetable and fruit market
    • Check out and lunch at a local restaurant
    • Drive to airport for domestic flight to Heho
    • On arrival, meet your driver and guide, and drive to Nyaung Shwe. If time permits, stop for a quick shoot of scenery along the way. You will pass different plantations and fields, and see the lake from above en route.
    • Check in to 4 star hotel
    • Sunset shoot will be arranged near the lake if time permits
    • Walk to local restaurant for dinner
    • Back to hotel for overnight
  3. Day 3 (B, L, D) 21st Dec 2020
    • Photoshoot at Sunrise on the lake with 2 Intha fisherman models demonstrating one-legged rowing
    • Breakfast with Shan Noodles at colorful morning market
    • Photo shooting of the following; Colourful 5-Day rotating market and Phaung Daw U Pagoda
    • A home-cooked lunch will be served to you during the day at the home of an Intha family, who will be happy to welcome you to their beautiful house on the lake
    • Continue on to photograph lotus weaving, Cheroot (Burmese cigar) making at local home, village life in different floating villages
    • Sunset over lake and Shan Mountains on the way back to hotel
    • Local restaurant for dinner
    • Back to hotel for overnight
  4. Day 4 (B, L, D) 22nd Dec 2020
    • Photoshoot at Sunrise on the Inle lake, head to Indein Pagoda Ruins
    • Indein Pagoda, a temple with an impressive collection of stupas in the village of Indein, southwest of Inle Lake. Surrounded by wild terrain, hills and mountains, the site seems almost to have grown out of the landscape.
    • Photograph the Indein ruins with 2 Burmese models with longyi and umbrella
    • You then continue with a walk around Inle Lake, enjoying the fantastic views of this large expanse of water and the rural countryside and farms around.
    • For lunch you will take a boat ride to a local home to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal served at the house of an ethnic Intha family, whose people have been living on the lake for many centuries in wooden houses built entirely on stilts.
    • Next, we will visit floating plantations on long floating wooden trellises, supported by mats of vegetation
    • The final shoot of the day will be with 2 Intha fishermen models demonstrating 1 legged rowing with beautiful sunset landscape
    • Local restaurant for dinner
    • Back to hotel for overnight
  5. Day 5 (B) 23rd Dec 2020
    • After breakfast at hotel, stop at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, a beautiful intricately carved teakwood building with unusual oval windows
    • Transfer to airport for domestic flight back to Yangon
    • Connect with International flight back to Singapore
