Photo Expedition: Wild Namibia

18th May to 28th June 2020 (SOLD OUT)

Curated and conjured by Photo Master Julian W., this Africa aficionado has visited the continent more than 60 times now, and knows it quite intimately well.  A professional wildlife photographer and a certified African Specialist awarded by the South Africa Tourism Organization, Julian designed this itinerary that will give you a very health dose of Namibia, and lots of subjects to photograph!

Namibia is a huge country but interestingly, is also the second least densely populated country in the world.  It is home to the world’s largest population of cheetahs and desert-adapted animals like elephants, lions and rhinos roam the vast land.  It is truly a wild and exotic of the last true wild places in the world today.

Located in southwestern Africa, Namibia boasts a well-developed infrastructure, some of the best tourist facilities in Africa, and an impressive list of breathtaking natural wonders. Visitors can explore the capital of Windhoek and discover the lovely coastal town of Swakopmund boasting remnants of the country’s German influence, reflected in the architecture, culture, cuisine and the annual Oktoberfest celebrations. To properly appreciate this extraordinary country, you will have to venture out of the cities to explore the remarkable natural landscapes Namibia has to offer. These include: the impressive Fish River Canyon; the vast Etosha National Park teeming with abundant wildlife, such as lions, desert-adapted elephants and the Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra; the hauntingly beautiful Kalahari Desert; and of course the Namib Desert stretching for over 2000 km along the magnificent Atlantic Coast. Namibia is an ideal destination for travellers seeking an unforgettable African experience in a uniquely beautiful untamed wilderness.

Photographers and animal/nature lovers are welcomed.  Availability is limited and interested participants are advised to confirm as early as possible in order to secure the best available accommodation.

Only 6 spots are available.  Minimum 4 to travel.  Sign up soon to avoid disappointment as this is one of our signature exploration packages for 2020.

The Tour Leader/Photo Master on trip:

Julian W. first started weaving images with light in 1992.  He honed his photography skills by immersing himself in fashion, portrait and commercial photography, but soon found these pursuits a little too monotonous for his liking.

To challenge himself, he listened to his inner callings and venture into nature photography soon after.  His works soon caught the attention of Animal Planet, Sony, HSBC, Singtel, Vitagen, and many various wildlife institutions

Today, this workaholic runs 4 companies, which includes a brand agency and a full-fledged travel agency that is registered with the Singapore Tourism Board.

Julian is also the brainchild for Singapore Photography Meets, a photography community that has more than 6000 members.
