The photo masters, or gurus as we affectionately called them, belongs to the creme of the photographer crop and are carefully selected from the immerse hordes of talents available.

Each guru must be a master in their genre, and has to be absolutely passionate to impart their consummate knowledge to our distinguished guests.

Julian W.
Wildlife Photographer,

Julian W. first started weaving images with light in 1992.  He honed his photography skills by immersing himself in fashion, portrait and commercial photography, but soon found these pursuits a little too monotonous for his liking.

To challenge himself, he listened to his inner callings and venture into nature photography soon after.  His works soon caught the attention of Animal Planet, Sony, HSBC, Singtel, Vitagen, and many various wildlife institutions

Today, this workaholic runs 4 companies, which includes a brand agency and a full-fledged travel agency that is registered with the Singapore Tourism Board.  Julian is also the brainchild for Singapore Photography Meets, a photography community that has more than 800 active members.

Jino Lee
Travel & Interior Photographer.

Jino is an international award-winning travel & destination photographer based in Singapore.

Once a night owl dabbling with music and sound, Jino traded late nights for early mornings and took up photography in 2003.  He finds inspiration in photographing people, culture and destinations, that motivates him to travel photography.

As an accredited SilkAir photographer, he photographs a broad range of subjects which are related to the travel and tourism industry.  His pictures centred mostly around human interest, with stories building upon and within each location that he visits.

Triston Yeo
Travel Photographer. Adobe Lightroom Evangelist, Canon Associate Instructor

Formally trained in Fine Arts through the Art Elective Programme, Triston’s constant pursuit of Fine Art Travel Photography saw him being accredited as as a Fellow of the Master Photographer Association of UK.

Acknowledged as one of Asian Geographic’s Best Photographers of the Decade, educating budding photographers is one of Triston’s personal mission.  He now works closely with TopLiners Club to lead photography expeditions for its distinguished guests.

Hilarion Goh
Fashion Photographer, Huawei Ambassador (Cambodia), Pentax & Ricoh Ambasador (Singapore)

A veteran photographer who is just equally as gifted in music, Hilarion is a very approachable personality when it comes to imparting his vast photography knowledge.

Spending consideration time notably in Cambodia doing fashion shoots, Hilarion has covered beauty pageants and the prestigious Miss Universe as part of his portfolio.  Nowadays, he is leading short photo trips into the Indo-China region with TopLiners Club.

Guek Peng Siong
SAFRA Photo Club Vice-Chair

Known affectionately as the “Astro Man”, Peng Siong is one of the few masters in the field of Astrophotography.  The unique skill and passion in the constellations have brought him to various places in the region to do astrophotography, and he takes the opportunity to lead enthusiastic participants to share his vision.

An active photography mentor, he also finds time to serve as Vice-Chairman of the SAFRA Photo Club, and mentors the New Media Team of Toa Payoh East Community Centre.

Daryl Yeo
Wildlife Photographer,
NPSS President (Singapore)

Being the President of Nature Photographic Society of Singapore (NPSS), Daryl is an avid wildlife photographer who has travel to remote locations round the world to pursue his interest.  Notably, he does not simply document, but hope to convey a story of animal behaviour and showcase the ecosystem they live in.

When he is not travelling, Daryl spends time capturing images of native and migratory birds.

James Tan
Master Print Maker, Asia Pacific

James Tan is one of the most sought-after printmakers in the Asia Pacific region, with FMPA(UK), ILFORD Master and Canon Master Printmaker as some of his titles. Operating under his business outfit Lateral Imaging, he makes fine art prints for prestigious photographers, artists, MNCs and galleries, as well as producing photography exhibitions and providing consultation to architecture and lighting companies.

Currently, apart from making prints, James is a prolific educator who holds regular workshops all over the world as well as having taught in the local university, also being a print and color management consultant for various printing companies, galleries and institutions.

Liew Tong Leng

Winner of Nikon’s The Big Shot 1. Liew Tong Leng (or Liew, as he prefers to be called) picked up photography in 1992, as a result of being in the company of friends who were photography enthusiasts. Liew has spent many years cultivating a creative eye. Never bound by themes posed to him, this talented photographer pushes the boundaries of interpretation, and uses his technical know-how to create images that are not only technically superior, but also beautifully and artistically crafted.

As a testimony to his technical and artistic talent, Liew has clinched hundreds of photography awards. But more than capturing images to win competitions are the lessons he’s drawn from participating in them. “I started taking part in photography competitions as a challenge for myself, to benchmark my photography skills against others, and to improve as a photographer,” Liew says. “Later, I realised that it’s actually through the process of being part of these competitions that really helped me to be a better photographer, and not the results.

Andrew JK Tan

Andrew JK Tan has been involved in all forms of photography for more then 30 years and adopted digital photography from 2007. He honed his skills by constantly participating in the many genres from landscape , nature , sports and travel. His many successes ranges from winning the Gold Medal in the 1989 Golden Spurs International Salon @Kortryjk, Belgium to being the 2015 People Photographer of the Year @Monochrome Awards. Andrew’s images are sold online through Getty Images and has numerous works published globally.

Andrew is also a dedicated and passionate photography mentor who conducts training sessions & workshops at local primary and secondary schools , polytechnics including those from Nikon and others.

Juho Uutela found his biggest passion in photography around 10 years ago while travelling around the world from mighty Himalayas to deep jungles of Asia. He started to develop his skills back in Finland and found his interest in photographing the nature and landscapes. Photography and travelling were big part of his life for many years, until he settled to Northern part of Finland – Lapland.

After living and photographing 5 years in the Arctic area Northern Lights, Nordic nature and wilderness has become his specialty. Juho is founder of expeditions operator Beyond Arctic which is a leading operator in Finnish Lapland offering wide range of expeditions and adventures to explore the best of Arctic nature.
